Brendan McCracken - Laboratory Operations Lead

Brendan operates MCIRCC’s Large Animal Intensive Care Unit facility, where he develops and manages protocols for experimental models requiring large animal care and use. bmccrac@umich.edu

 

Amanda Pennington - Clinical Research Unit Manager

Amanda manages MCIRCC’s Clinical Research Unit and assists MCIRCC members in developing and managing IRB protocols and data collection.

Meagan Ramsey-Manager, Proposal Development Unit

Meagan provides strategic research and proposal development consulting. She serves as the funding liaison on behalf of MCIRCC and provides team science coaching for research opportunities.

Ken Spenser - Commercialization Coach

Ken guides multidisciplinary teams in the development of commercialization roadmaps that accelerate the bench to bedside process and prepares their innovations for licensing or potential business startups.

Hakam Tiba, MD, MS - Director, Preclinical Operative & Intensive Care Unit

Dr. Tiba manages MCIRCC’s Preclinical Operative and Intensive Care Unit facility. He also advises and lends his expertise with large animal models to other investigators locally and nationally.

Megan VanStratt - Director, Marketing & Communications

Megan is responsible for MCIRCC's marketing operations including brand management, marketing strategy, internal and external communication programs and member engagement.

Drew Bennett - Licensing Liaison

Drew is the Associate Director of Licensing at the Office of Technology Transfer. He acts as the interface between MCIRCC and outside counsel for intellectual property protection matters.

Erin works with the Clinical Research Unit and assists in recruiting patients and collecting data for MCIRCC members' clinical studies.

Carmen is part of MCIRCC’s Large Animal intensive Care Unit, she helps manage the large animal lab through inventory control, managing expenses and facilitating the operation of  protocols.

Debra is the Director of Business Development in the Medical School Fast Forward Medical Innovation program and she interfaces with many companies to facilitate industry-MCIRCC faculty research collaborations.

Research Technician Intermediate

The Research Technician Intermediate  is part of MCIRCC’s Large Animal intensive Care Unit and assists in the operation of protocols, inventory and supplies, and all general laboratory duties.

Denise Poirier - Administrative Specialist

Denise is responsible for managing day-to-day operations at MCIRCC by providing administrative support to the team. In addition, she directly supports Kevin Ward.
